How to apply for a Chilean visa within Chile

If you are in Chile under a tourist visa and you want to stay longer and become a resident for a short term (temporary visa) or long term (permanent residency or citizenship), you can still do it within Chile, without having to leave the country.

There’s a lot of confusion on this topic, because many believe a new Immigration Act has already been approved. Well, that’s not the case.

The truth is that there’s a bill currently being discussed at the Senate, which will create a new Immigration Act (“Ley de Migración y Extranjería”) and which will prohibit foreigners to switch from tourist visa to a residency visa within Chile, having to leave the country and apply for a residency visa through a Chilean Consulate.

The bill has already been approved by the Chamber of Deputies and “in general” by the Senate. The bill will be discussed by several commissions on the Senate, article by article, and will likely suffer changes. And even when it’s approved it won’t have effect before the Regulation (“Reglamento”) is drafted and published by the Ministry of the Interior (they will have up to a year to do it).

So, that being said, you can still apply for a residency visa within Chile, according to article 102 of the Immigration Regulation (“Reglamento de Extranjería”) which states:

“(…) Tourists may change their status for the ones of resident or official resident (…)”

In Spanish:

“(…) Los turistas podrán solicitar el cambio de su calidad por la de residente o residente oficial (…)”.

How to apply for a Chilean Visa within the Metropolitan Region (“Región Metropolitana”)

You need to put the application form (duly filled and signed) and the documentation required for the visa you are applying for inside an envelope and send it by certified letter to:

You will receive a receipt from Correos. Save it (with your life).

You are not allowed to work after you submit your application.

If you checked the box “Deseo obtener permiso para trabajar con visa en trámite” (“I want to obtain a permission to work while my visa is being processed”), you will have to wait around 120 days after the submission (time when the application is registered on Extranjería’s system) to then get the permission to start working, and only after you pay for it and collect it from Extranjería.

If you didn’t check that box (“Deseo obtener permiso para trabajar con visa en trámite”):

You will have to apply for a permission to work (online) after your application is received (https://tramites.extranjeria.gob.cl); OR,
You will have to wait until your visa is approved, paid and stamped on your passport to start working.

How to apply for a Chilean Visa within the Antofagasta Region

You need to put the application form – V5 (duly filled and signed) and the documentation required for the visa you are applying for inside an envelope and send it by certified letter to:

You will have to apply for a permission to work after your application is received; OR,
You will have to wait until your visa is approved, paid and stamped on your passport to start working.

How to apply for a visa from outside the Metropolitan Region and Antofagasta Region (Gobernaciones Provinciales)

You need to make an appointment online for the process named “Ingreso de Solicitud de Residencia (puede obtener permiso de trabajo)” on https://reservahora.extranjeria.gob.cl/ingreso:

If there are no slots available, you need to register on the waiting list (“asignación automatizada de citas”) and you will be notified by e-mail when the appointment is confirmed:

The day of the appointment you will have to concur to the Gobernación Provincial you selected with your passport and the documents required for the type of visa you are going to apply for. Also, don’t forget to print the confirmation e-mail and take it with you the day of the appointment.

After you apply, you will receive a receipt from Extranjería, which will be the proof that your visa is being processed and also which will allow you to work during the date of the application and the date of the approval.

Extranjería: Processes that can already be done online – without appointment

1. Update your contact details

By filling the form named «Ficha de solicitud de Actualización de Datos«, you will be able to update your address, mobile number and e-mail address.

2. Extend the validity of the resolution that states that your visa is being processed ("visa en trámite")

If your visa hasn’t been approved yet and the resolution that states that your visa is being processed is expiring soon, you now can extend its validity online.

3. Extend the validity of the resolution that states that your Permanent Residency is being processed ("permanencia definitiva en trámite")

5. Apply for a work permit under a tourist visa

In Chile, tourists have the chance to apply for a work permit under a tourist visa – valid for up to 30 days. If you need to obtain one, you can do it in two steps:

1) Step one «Apply for the permit» («Solicitar Permiso»): In the first part, you will have to fill the form with your details and upload all the documentation required. Once you have done it, the application will be reviewed by the Immigration Department («Extranjería»). If you meet the requirements you will receive an e-mail with the money order.

2) Step two «Submit the money order» («Envío de Orden de Pago»): In the second part, you will have to submit the payment receipt and fill the correspondent form. As soon as it is reviewed by Extranjería, you will receive an e-mail with your work permit.

6. Apply for a provisional work permit while your visa is being processed

If you didn’t ask for a provisional work permit (while your visa is being processed) at the moment of your visa the application, you now can ask for one online, in two steps:

1) Step one «Apply for the permit» («Solicitar Permiso»): In the first part, you will have to fill the form with your details and upload all the documentation required. Once you have done it, the application will be reviewed by the Immigration Department («Extranjería»). If you meet the requirements you will receive an e-mail with the money order.

2) Step two «Submit the money order» («Envío de Orden de Pago»): In the second part, you will have to submit the payment receipt and fill the correspondent form. As soon as it is reviewed by Extranjería, you will receive an e-mail with your work permit.

7. Humanitarian Plan of Return

8. Reprint your money order

If the money order generated by the Immigration Department has expired (visa, permanent residency, work permit), you will need to obtain a new one in order to pay the fees at any commercial bank.

9. Apply for Permanent Residency

From May you will be able to apply for Permanent Residency online using your ClaveÚnica. For now, the process is available only for those living within the Antofagasta Region and Libertador General Bernardo O’Higgins Region.

Traveling outside Chile while your visa is being processed

If you sent your visa application (or its extension) by certified mail or your Permanent Resident Visa application (online) and is not "en trámite" yet

So, you submitted your visa application but now need to travel outside Chile and you haven’t heard a word from the Immigration Department yet. How can you exit the country and re-enter without troubles?

If you live within the Metropolitan Region or within the Gobernación Provincial of Antofagasta, you must submit your temporary visa or work visa (sujeta a contrato) application by certified mail. The same applies for extensions (prórrogas) – with the only exception of the MERCOSUR and Responsabilidad Democrática visas for residents of the Metropolitan Region, who must apply online through tramites.extranjeria.gob.cl.

The Permanent Resident Visa applications are made online since May 1st, 2019.

After you send your application, the only proof you have – for about 120 days – is the receipt you get from Correos de Chile, or the digital Certificate you get right after you submit your Permanent Resident visa application through tramites.extranjeria.gob.cl

Can you travel outside Chile and come back only with these documents?

The answer is: Yes, you can, BUT starting from November 4, 2019, before you do, you need to apply for a Travel Authorization («Autorización de Salida») through tramites.extranjeria.gob.cl with at least 5 days and no more of 20 days of anticipation to the date of the trip, uploading the following documents:

Copy of the digital certificate issued by Extranjería at the moment of the application, or a copy of the receipt from Correos de Chile; AND,
Airline tickets, bus tickets or of any other type of international transport, where the destination is shown.

You must also indicate the reason of the trip on the application form (Holidays/Work/Visit family/Other).

Then, the Immigration Department will review your application between Monday and Friday, from 9am to 5pm.

The application may be approved or rejected, which will be notified by e-mail.

If the application is approved (Travel Authorization) you will receive a Certificate indicating that your visa, extension, or permanent resident visa application has been received and is now being processed by the Immigration Department (“acogida a trámite”). This document will allow you to travel outside Chile and re-enter during its validity, without troubles.

If the travel authorization is rejected, it won’t affect the visa application process.

So, as you can see, the purpose of the application (travel authorization) is just to speed up the visa application process, so it can be on the system (in process or «en trámite») before you leave the country.

This new process has been introduced by the Immigration Department through the Circular N° 29 BIS of October 28, 2019, which you can read by clicking right here.

Information and documents that you will have to provide:

Finally, just click on «Enviar solicitud» to send the application.

If your application is already being processed by Extranjería ("en trámite")

If your visa, extension o Permanent Resident visa application is already being processed by the Immigration Departament, meaning that you can see its status on consultas.extranjeria.gob.cl, OR if you applied for a visa in person on a Gobernación Provincial (outside the Metropolitan Region and Antofagasta) and you have the receipt issued by Extranjería stating that your visa is being processed; THEN you can leave and re-enter Chile during the validity of this document («solicitud de visa o permanencia definitiva en trámite»), and DON’T need to apply for a Travel Authorization.

If the validity of your «Solicitud de visa en trámite» or «Solicitud de Permanencia Definitiva en trámite» expires before or during your travel, you must extend its validity:

Online if you live within the Metropolitan Region: tramites.extranjeria.gob.cl
In person and before you leave the country on the nearest Gobernación Provincial if you live outside the Metropolitan Region.
In person on the Immigration office located on the second floor of the International Airport of Santiago, before you leave the country, if you couldn’t get the extension on any of the above cases.

What if you are outside Chile and your application is not "en trámite" yet

In this case you have two options:

Wait until your application shows up on the Immigration website; OR,
Re-enter to Chile as a tourist: If you need to get a Tourist Visa before traveling to Chile because of your nationality, you will have to do so at the nearest Chilean Consulate, otherwise your entry will be refused.

▷ How to book an appointment for Extranjería [2019]

In order to book an appointment for Extranjería you need to first create an account. If you already have one, just skip to the title called “How to book an appointment for Extranjería step by step” below. If you don’t have one yet, keep reading.

How to create an account

Go to https://reservahora.extranjeria.gob.cl/ingreso

Once there, click on «Registrarse» (Register):

On the following page, you must check the box on the left side of the screen «Acepto las condiciones de uso» (I accept the terms of use):

Right after you check the box you will be able to fill the form on the right side of the screen called «Registro de nuevo usuario» (New User Registration), where you will have to complete the following information:

Tipo de documento de identificación: Identification document type (Passport or ID Card) [«Pasaporte Ordinario / Cédula de Identidad»]; AND,
Número de Documento: Passport or ID number; AND,
Fecha de vencimiento: Expiry date of the document; AND,
Nombres: Names; AND,
Apellido 1: First Surname; AND,
Apellido 2: Second Surname; AND,
Correo electrónico: E-mail address; AND,
Confirmar Correo electrónico: Confirm your e-mail address; AND,
Nacionalidad: Nationality; AND,
Fecha de nacimiento: Date of birth.

Once completed, click on «Registrar» (Register) and a message will pop up saying «Registro completado» («Registration completed»).

You will then receive an e-mail with a temporary password and the link to log in into Extranjería’s booking system using your account.

You are now ready to book your appointment (or at least to register on the waiting list).

How to book an appointment for Extranjería step by step

To book an appointment, go to: https://reservahora.extranjeria.gob.cl/ingreso enter your e-mail address and password. If it is your first time, you will have to enter the temporary password sent to your e-mail and then change it to one of your choice.

Once you logged in, make sure to choose the right Region (the one in which you live). Click on the top right of the window, on the button called «TRÁMITES ASOCIADOS A» (processes associated with):

By clicking on «TRÁMITES ASOCIADOS A» you will see a list with the Regions. Select yours:

After doing so, select the process («trámite») you need from the list:

You then will see a description with the requirements for the process you just selected:

Lastly, select the office to which you will be going the day of the appointment:

If there are slots available you will see a calendar like the one below. Click on one of green color (green = available):

Once you did, confirm the appointment. You will be directed to a new window with the receipt, which you will have to print or at least save on your computer (you have to print the receipt and take it with you the day of the appointment):

What if the process or office are not showing?

There are even some offices that are not listed yet. In these cases, you will have to go to the closest Gobernación Provincial and confirm directly with them if you need to book an appointment (for another process) or not.

What to do if there are no slots available?

If you don’t find any slots available, you MUST register in the waiting list called «ASIGNACIÓN AUTOMATIZADA DE CITAS» (Automated appointment assignment):

Right after you register in the waiting list, you will receive a confirmation e-mail like the one in the picture below:

Once you are registered, just wait (and wait) until the appointment is confirmed. When the day and hour of the appointment is confirmed you will be notified with an e-mail like this:

You must print this receipt and present it the day of the appointment.

Getting out of the waiting list?

If you change your mind and decide to get out of the waiting list in order to try to find an available slot during the week (which we don’t recommend), you can do so by clicking on «Eliminarme de asignación automatizada de citas» (remove me from the automated appointment assignment):

Bear in mind that if you decide to get out of the waiting list and you are past the period given by law to complete a process before the Immigration Department you are risking penalties (fines).

What if you cannot assist the day and hour assigned?

Since the appointments cannot be modified nor cancelled, you will have to register on the waiting list again right after the date of appointment to which you cannot assist.

What if the appointment is assigned after the 60 day period given to stamp it?

As long as you registered on the waiting list before that day you will be OK.

What if the appointment has been assigned but you never received the receipt by e-mail?

You will need to take a screenshot of your account, showing the date and hour of the appointment, print it and present it the day of the appointment.

Unfortunately, there is not. The Immigation Departament via their official Twitter account has confirmed it. They have also advised to register on the waiting list if you don’t find any appointments available.

If there are months in which your employer didn’t pay it, you can make a claim
You can follow the status of your claim
If you are an employer, you can see if you have payments pending

You will need to book an appointment for PDI If you live within the Metropolitan Region and need to:

a) Register your visa («Registro de Visa»); OR,
b) Register your Permanent Resident Certificate («Registro de Certificado de Permanencia Definitiva»); OR,
c) Obtain your Travel Certificate in order to apply for Permanent Residency («Certificado de viajes»); OR,
d) Obtain a duplicate of your visa registration if you lost it («Duplicado de Registro de Visa»); OR,
e) Obtain the Validity Certificate of your Permanent Resident Visa («Certificado de vigencia de la Permanencia Definitiva»).

In order to so, you will first need to have an account on reservahorapdi.extranjeria.gob.cl and we are here to explain you how. Keep reading. If you already have an account skip to «How to book an appointment for PDI«.

What about the rest of country («Santiago is not Chile»)?

The system – on its first stage – was implemented ONLY for those living within the Metropolitan Region. It will be implemented – gradually – on the rest of the country, but until that doesn’t happen:

If you don’t see the process you are looking for – for your Region (outside the Metropolitan Region) you will have to go in person to the closest PDI office without previous appointment.

How to create your account

Click here to go directly to PDI’s website.

Once there, click on «Registrarse» («Register») located below the button «INGRESO».

Accept the conditions of use

Now check the box located on the left side of the screen next to «Acepto las condiciones de uso» (I accept the conditions of use) button.

Complete the registration form

After you do so, complete the form on the right side of the screen under the title «Registro de nuevo usuario» (New user registration) with the following information:

Type of document («Tipo de documento»): Passport («Pasaporte ordinario») or ID Card («Documento Nacional de Identidad»); AND,
Number of the document («Número de documento»): Passport or ID Card number; AND,
Expiry date of the document («Fecha de vencimiento del documento»); AND,
Names («Nombres»); AND,
Last Name 1 («Apellido 1»); AND,
Last Name 2 («Apellido 2») – if applicable; AND,
Email address («Correo Electrónico»); AND,
Your email address again («Confirmar Correo Electrónico»); AND,
Nationality («Nacionalidad»); AND,
Date of birth («Fecha de nacimiento»).

Once you are done, click on «Registrar» (Register):

You will then see a message like the one in the picture: «Registro completado» (Registration completed).

Check your email

Immediately after you wil receive an email with a containing a temporary password and the link to log in.

Your account is now created.

Note: The first time you log in, you must use the temporary password provided and then change it for one of your choice.

How to book an appointment for PDI

Go to reservahorapdi.extranjeria.gob.cl and click on «INGRESO«.

* If it is the first time you log in, you must use the temporary password sent to your email when you created your account.

Select your Region

The first thing you want to do, is to click on the button named «TRÁMITES ASOCIADOS A» (Processes associated to) located on the top right corner of your screen and select your Region (where you are currently living):

Select the process

Then click on «Seleccione su trámite» (select the process) right below «Reserva de horas»:

a) Permanent Residency registration («Registro de Permanencia Definitiva«);
b) Travel Certificate (“Certificado de viajes y registro de visa para postular a la Permanencia Definitiva”);
c) Visa registration («Registro de visa«);
d) Certificate of validity (Permanent Residency) [“Certificado de vigencia Permanencia Definitiva”];
e) Duplicate of visa registration (“Duplicado de registro de visa”);

After you select the process, you will see the documents you will have to present the day of the appointment and the cost (if applicable):

Choose the day and hour

If there are slots available you will be able to see a calendar like the one below. Click on the time slot in green that suits you the best:

Save and print the receipt

If you found a free time slot and were able to confirm the appointment, you will be directed to a new tab in which you will find the receipt:

We strongly suggest you to click on «Imprimir» and save a copy of this receipt as a PDF file or to print it right away. We know about cases where the receipt is never delivered by email.

Remember that you need to present the receipt at the door the day of the appointment.

What if you don't find any slots available?

You must register on the waiting list («LISTA DE ESPERA»). Once registered, you just have to wait for the email from PDI with the confirmation (day and hour). However, we suggest to check your account at least once every 3 days, since there are cases where some never receive the email or it goes directly to Spam and never get the notification.

If you never received the receipt, take a screenshot from your account showing the date of the appointment, print it, and take it with you the day of the appointment.

You can get out of the waiting list if you choose to, by clicking on “Eliminarme de lista de espera“:

We don’t advise you to do it. Once registered just wait for the confirmation.

In case of waiting to register a visa or PR Certificate, you will be OK as long as you register on the waiting list before the 30 day period given by law to do so. If you get out from the waiting list to try luck and then register again after the 30 day period, you will have to pay a penalty.

The day of the appointment

The day of the appointment you will have to present your receipt at the door and carry your passport and money (in cash) depending on the process.

Be there 5 minutes earlier at max.

The access to the offices are made by blocks, meaning that if you have an appointment for 09:00 am, you and all the people that have an appointment between 09:00 and 10:00 am will be able to enter to the office starting from 08:55 am.

You won’t be able to enter if you don’t have an appointment.

Because all the troubles experienced, some people have decided to buy appointments to third parties.

PDI has already warned that people buying appointments to third parties run the risk of not being attended and losing their money.

Aimed to foreigners with a Postgraduate Degree from one of the best 150 academic institutions according to Exempt Resolution 2619/2018 of February 08, 2018.
Allows to live and work in Chile for up to 12 months, period after which the applicant may choose to extend it for another 12 months or to apply for Permanent Residency.
This visa can only be applied for outside Chile.

This visa will be granted to professionals holding a Postgraduate Degree from one of the best 150 foreign academic institutions by OECD (Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development) sub-area used by Becas Chile to assign the score to applicants, according to the Exempt Resolution 2619/2018, of February 08, 2018, of the Executive Director of the National Commission for Scientific and Technological Research of the Ministry of Education (http://immichile.cl/wp/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/REX-2619-2018_completo.pdf).

The applicants must prove to be professionals and their academic level through the correspondent Degree or Certificate, duly legalized or apostilled.

There will be 300 visas available from August 01, 2018 to July 31, 2019, which will be granted by strict order of application.

Requirements

1. The application must be made online at https://tramites.minrel.gov.cl (“Sistema de Atención Consular Electrónico”) through the correspondent Chilean Consulate of the country of origin or residency of the interested. The visa can only be applied for outside Chile.

2. A Criminal Record Certificate issued in the country of origin or residency.

3. Comply with the rest of requirements established on the Decree 172/1977 of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which amends the text of the Consular Regulation, that are applicable.

4. Foreigners prevented from entering Chile according to Article 15, with the exception of numbers 4 and 5, and Article 16, with the exception of number 4, both of the Decree Law 1094/1975, are excluded from this process, and won’t be able to apply for this visa.

5. Graduate and Postgraduate students who have already been beneficiaries of scholarships of International Cooperation of Chile (AGCID) and up to two years after having returned to their countries of origin, are excluded from this process, and won’t be able to apply for this visa.

Aimed to foreigners seeking to work or to start a business in Chile.
Valid for up to 12 months, period after which the applicant may choose to extend it for another 12 months or to apply for Permanent Residency.

A) FOR FOREIGNERS SEEKING TO WORK IN CHILE

Applicants must prove to be professionals, technicians or holders of a priority occupation, through a Degree or Certificate, duly legalized or apostilled, as well as having knowledge of the Spanish language on an intermediate level (B1) through SIELE or DELE exam. Additionally, applicants will have to choose a Region in Chile at the moment of the application.

There will be 3,000 visas available from August 01, 2018 to November 30, 2018, date in which the review of the applications received to that moment will begin.

Once the application process is finished, the applications will be ranked through a point system and the visas will be granted according to the date in which the applications were received. Foreigners who didn’t get a visa in this process will be automatically considered for the next process, prior ratification of the applicant.

B) FOR FOREIGNERS SEEKING TO START A BUSINESS OR INVEST IN CHILE

Oriented to foreigners coming to Chile to reside in order to start a business or invest.

This visa will be granted through a point system, according to defined criteria of education level, age, language, investment and territory (according to the tables listed below).

The applicants will have to prove to have an intermediate level of Spanish (B1) through SIELE or DELE exam. Additionally, the applicant must choose a Region in Chile where to reside.

Likewise, applicants must show a minimum investment of at least 2,400 UF (“Unidades de Fomento” – 1 UF = CLP$27,255.96 [22-08-2018]) present a business plan, indicating the location where the investment will be made and transfer the money equivalent to the investment declared to Chile, prior to the stamp of the visa, according to Chapter XIV of the Compendium of Foreign Exchange Regulations of the Central Bank of Chile (“Compendio de Normas de Cambios Internacionales del Banco Central de Chile”).

Initially, and until November 30, 2018, there will be 1,000 visas available for entrepreneurs, date in which the review of the applications received to that moment will begin.

Once the application period is finished, there will be a ponderation based upon the points awarded to each of the applicants, being the visas granted by strict order of priority. Foreigners who didn’t get a visa in this process will be automatically considered for the next process, prior ratification of the applicant.

The extension of the visa or the application for Permanent Residency may be rejected if the resident fails to prove having executed 100% of the initial investment compromised within the first 12 months of residence in Chile.

C) REQUIREMENTS FOR BOTH A) AND B)

1. Apply for the visa through the correspondent Chilean Consulate, of the country of origin or residency, at https://tramites.minrel.gov.cl (“Sistema de Atención Consular”).

2. A Criminal Record Certificate of the country of origin or residency.

3. Comply with the rest of the requirements established on the Decree N° 172/1977, of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which amends the text of the Consular Regulation, that are applicable.

The holder of the visa who finds a job in a different Region to the one declared in the application, will have to apply for a change on the type of the visa to a Subject to Contract Visa. Likewise, in order to apply for the extension of the visa or for Permanent Residency, the applicant will have to present a Residency Certificate (notarized).

b. Digital Transformation area

– Professionals and technicians with experience in the develop and implementation of mathematical and computer models for the resolution of high complexity problems through machine learning, deep learning, artificial intelligence, optimization, data visualization.

– Professionals and technicians with experience in acquisition, generation, maintenance, analysis, exploration and visualization of high volume data (big data).

– Professionals and technicians with experience in the develop, implementation and operation of cloud computing systems, including their design and project management, handling databases, programming, systems automation, quality assurement, interoperability, among others. Competencies to understand the transformation of traditional business models into cloud models, in different industries or sectors.

– Professionals and technicians with experience in the development and implementation of systems, technologies and platforms of digital security, which enable a massive display of digital technologies and cyber-physical systems in different industries and sectors, including international standards, protocols and models of regulatory frameworks.

– Professionals and technicians with experience in the digital design and construction, physical and software integration systems, man/machine interaction with emerging technologies, including remote-controlled or autonomous systems, of control of processes, of robotics and home automation for sectors like mining, construction, health and advanced manufacturing.

– Professionals and technicians with experience in the understanding of social, cultural and human implications produced by the changes associated to the digital transformation in human interactions, in the labor market and other areas.

c. Elderly care

– Professionals and technicians with experience in gerontology, orthopedics, oncology, psychiatry and experts in rehabilitation technology, hearing technology, vision, dental, palliative care, long-term rehabilitation, home care.

d. Resilience culture

– Professionals and technicians with experience in the design and evaluation of complex scenarios, caused by multiple threats which integrate different disciplines, in geographic contexts and real social. Build models and simulation capacity for the accurate estimation of eventual economic, environment and social losses.

– Professionals and technicians with physical experience in natural threats processes, both individually and in multi-threat configurations.

Development of national models and maps from the different natural risks, considering the characterization of multi-threats and their spatial-temporal correlations.

– Professionals and technicians with experience in the integration of the different existent national observation networks, incorporation of new continuous satellite observation capabilities of the territory and the inclusion of new massive networks of low cost sensors. Early warning systems, pre and post event, for different types of threats.

– Professionals and technicians with experience in measurements of social vulnerability, the understanding of individual and organizational motivations for resilience, and the study of anticipation, mitigation and response and recovery capacities.

Characterize the vulnerability and resilience of the different networks of vital lines and critical infrastructure, considering its geographic distribution and its interdependencies with other networks and systems.

– Professionals and technicians with experience in childhood and mental health crisis.

e. Sustainable development and intergenerational responsibility

– Professionals and technicians with experience in remote technology used to fulfill the water requirements of crops; irrigation optimization; and use of seawater and wastewater.

– Professionals and technicians with experience in hydrology of arid zones; aquifer geometry; mountain hydrology; ecological flows; dynamic restoration of channels; hydrogeochemistry; paleolimnology; and meteorology.

– Professionals and technicians with experience in water recoveries; water use efficiency; water treatment and reuse; and tailings management and dry mining.

– Professionals and technicians with experience in non-polluting technologies, waste treatment, natural resources management.

2. REGION

The applicant will have to choose a Region where he/she plans to work and have residency. The score will be determined according to the following table:

New Immigration Act

The Ministry’s General Secretariat announced today that the government will present a total of 12 legislative urgencies this week to projects currently being processed within the Congress.

Within the initiatives which will receive urgency is the new Immigration Act. The project was presented in year 2013 during the first government of Sebastián Piñera.
