Mi nombre es Siva Avudaiappan (RUT-266133286 y Pasaporte No N1752520) y trabajo como investigador postdoctoral en el Departamento de Ingeniería en Obras Civiles de la Universidad de Santiago de Chile (USACH) desde hace casi un año. La razón por la que le escribo esta carta es porque mi visa de residencia temporal expirará el próximo 29 de noviembre de 2019, y adicionalmente porque necesito un certificado de viaje. Solicité la cita en línea el 5 de octubre de 2019 pasado, pero desafortunadamente aún sigo esperando. Por lo anterior, estaría muy agradecido si pudiese procesar mi solicitud para obtener esta cita y lograr obtener el certificado de viaje lo antes posible.

En respuesta a Anish. You have to stay on the waiting list until the appointment is confirmed. If you entered the waiting list before that 30 day period you will be fine.

Hello, I had applied for an appointment for visa registration nearly a month back. But it is still in waiting list. Based on what I understand, shouldn’t the visa should be registered within one month of entering the country?

En respuesta a Dino T.. Yes, you need to get on the waiting list and "wait" until your appointment is confirmed (Metropolitan Region). You won't be attended without an appointment.

Do I have to be on waiting list to get the appointment or there is the chance that I can get the appointment by waiting on Tuesday and Thursday?

Remember that new slots for PDI are available every Tuesday and Thursday at 16:00

Hi Adriana,
We understand your situation. It’s not our system, it’s the Extranjería one (we are immigration lawyers).
However, in the Spanish version of this article, there’s an alternative. It’s not the best one, but if you haven’t been able to get an appointment yet, you could consider travel to another PDI office, like the one in Valparaíso or Viña del Mar (they ask for a local address). You can also try Rancagua, but they are giving appointments for next month.

the online appointment sucks……. how can I have an appointment???????????????? I’ve been trying for months to have one!!!!! MONTHS!!!!!!!!!! and nothing….. your sistems simple doesn’t work!!!!!!!!
